Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Oui® ("we", "us") collects when you use shop.oui.blue, how we use it and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Order and contact details: your name, email address, phone number, and shipping and billing addresses.
- Account details: your email address, name, order history and saved addresses, if you sign in.
- Cart and saved items: what you put in your cart or save for later, so it is there when you come back.
- Payment details: payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Messages and reviews: what you send us by email or phone, and any product reviews you post. A review appears on the site with the name you give.
- Visit details: the pages you view, what you search for on our site, your browser, device type, screen size and language, the website or link that brought you here, and your approximate location (city), which we work out from your IP address. We do not keep your IP address with these records. If you are signed in or place an order, the visit is linked to your account or order.
How we use it
- To process, ship and deliver your orders, and to handle returns and refunds.
- To send order confirmations, shipping updates and replies to your questions.
- To send a reminder if you leave items in your cart, and to ask for a review after your order arrives. Write to us and we will stop these emails.
- To understand how the store is used and make it better.
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
- To meet our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the companies that help us run the store, and only as much as they need:
- Stripe, to process payments.
- Shipping carriers and our package-tracking service, to deliver your order and follow it on the way.
- An address lookup service, which suggests addresses as you type your street at checkout. It receives only the letters typed, not your name or who you are.
- Our email provider, to send you messages about your order.
- Our hosting provider, which runs the servers the store is on.
- Law enforcement or regulators, when the law requires it.
Cookies
We use only cookies of our own, and only these:
- Cart: remembers your cart and saved items for 30 days.
- Sign-in: keeps you signed in to your account.
- Checkout and messages: short-lived cookies that carry a Buy Now item to checkout and show a notice after an action.
- Visitor ID: a random ID that lets our own visitor statistics tell a returning browser from a new one. It holds no name, address or other personal details, it is never shared and it is not used for advertising. It lasts two years from your last visit.
- New-look note: remembers for one year that you closed the "new look" banner, so it does not come back.
- Old-store check: to show that banner to people who shopped our old site, we check whether your browser still has cookies the old oui.blue store set. We look only at their names, never at what is inside them, and we keep nothing.
Stripe may set its own cookies at checkout to prevent fraud. When we run ads, Google, Meta and TikTok set their own cookies too; see "Advertising and measurement" below, which also says how to turn them off. You can clear or block cookies in your browser; the store still works, but your cart will not be remembered.
Advertising and measurement
When we run ads, our site uses advertising tools from Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads), Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok. They record which pages you visit, what you add to your cart, when you start checkout and when you buy, so we can measure our ads and show them to people likely to want our products. These companies set their own cookies for this.
When you buy, we also tell Meta and TikTok about the purchase from our server: the order number, what you bought, the amount, your browser type and the ad cookies above, with your email address, phone number, city, state and ZIP code turned into a one-way code (a SHA-256 hash) first, so they can match the sale to an ad without receiving those details in plain form. Google Ads may receive the same details, hashed, from your browser.
Under California law this can count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information for advertising. You can turn it off: use "Your privacy choices" at the bottom of every page, or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, which we honor automatically. Either way, none of these tools load and nothing about your orders is sent to them.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal purposes. We keep account information until you ask us to delete it. We keep visit records for as long as the store runs, unless you ask us to delete yours.
Security
The site uses encryption (HTTPS) and we limit access to your information to the people who need it to serve you. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to stop reminder emails. Depending on the state you live in, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws; we honor those requests and will not treat you differently for making one. Age
This site is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use it, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
